What our customers have to say.

Les could not have been more helpful across all forms of communication, from six months in planning to deal with him personally upon our arrival into Lunenberg and Halifax.  Les was always available and able to arrange anything, at any time.  From transfers to the airport to the Canso Lockmaster and Saint Pierre contact into, a helicopter ride while circumnavigating Newfoundland to handling international parts arrivals and dockage throughout our travels.  His demeanor and “No Worries” approach definitely reflected the humble and helpful Canadian spirit.  I cannot recommend his company, Premiere Marine Services, enough for any travel to the Canadian Maritimes or passage to the Great Lakes and all points in between.  A true pleasure indeed.

M/Y DAYS LIKE THIS (2018)

Les provides a friendly and knowledgeable service vital to yachts cruising the Canadian coast. I learned more about where to go and what to do through our early emails then I could have while pouring over guidebooks. Once in Nova Scotia, Les was always available in person or by phone for any queries I had. I would recommend Les and his excellent service to any crew sailing to Canada.

Captain Storm Higgo
M/Y Alessandra (2019)

By forging a solid working relationship with Les Savage of Premier Marine Services, I was able to successfully and safely navigate as far north as Hawke Harbour, Labrador, nearly circumnavigate Newfoundland, stopping in St. Pierre et Miquelon as well, taking in Gros Morne National Park, Charlottetown, Fox Harb’r and many stops in Nova Scotia before returning to Fort Lauderdale in late August.

M/Y DAYS LIKE THIS (Summer 2018)

Captain Les Savage with Premiere Yacht Services was a terrific assistant to our summer cruise in the Canadian Maritimes and I wouldn’t recommend doing it without him. He had a great knowledge of the area, from points of interest to available services and his response to our needs was second to none. From transportation to doctor’s appointments Les did it quickly and always with a smile, any time of day. I can confidently recommend him to any Captain cruising the Maritimes in the future and say that he is an essential part of creating a successful itinerary and experience for your guests.

I would highly recommend using Premier Marine Services if you are cruising Canada. He always says “standing by” in every communication and its true, He is 24/7. So all in all a great comfort to be using a very knowledgeable agent in unfamiliar waters and a pleasure to receive final invoices with no nasty surprises!

Thanks again Premier Marine Services, hopefully, we will make it again sometime in the future.

In the summer of 2014, we undertook a trip to the US Great Lakes. We engaged the services of Premier Marine Services to assist us beginning with our initial landfall in Halifax Nova Scotia. Capt. Premier Marine Services staff assisted us throughout the summer in navigating the requirements for travelling the St. Lawrence Seaway System, the myriad of Pilotage authorities as well as the various preparations required in advance. Dockage, fuelling, transportation, vessel and or crew needs were all looked after with efficiency and the sense of urgency that is demanded in The Industry. Their attentiveness and immediate response were comforting giving us the feeling that we truly had “A Friend – All along The Way”.

We look forward to working with Premier Marine Services again sometime in the not too distant future and highly recommend them to any vessel of any size visiting Eastern Canada and or travelling to the US Great Lakes.

Any prudent mariner cruising the challenging waters off Nova Scotia will find the services of Premier Marine Services invaluable.

They were a great asset in assisting in preparation for my first visit to the area. I believe that the reason the owners returned the next following year was because of my exciting organized tour. Not possible without Capt. Premier Marine Services input.

We returned our second year in tandem with our racing sailboat for the Chester race week. The delivery crew had some issues, without getting into details, Premier Marine once again came to the rescue, literally providing rescue support, replacement delivery crew, just another example of the long-range of services they provide. Don’t leave home without them in your cell phone comes to mind!!!

Just a brief note to thank you for all your help this summer. Your knowledge of the places to go and see as well as the maze of regulations for clearance, pilotage, the Seaway, taking on fuel and ships needs was invaluable.

Thanks again for your professional assistance and I will be sure to utilize your services again next time and pass on the good word to fellow Captains.
Kind regards,

MV TRITON used the services of Premier Marine Services during our successful transit of the Northwest Passage in 2014. Beginning in Nome Alaska through to St. John’s Newfoundland. We appreciated Premier Marine Services’ professional help in arranging fuel, dockage, pilotage, and customs clearance(s) as well as other services. Good to have very capable shore support along the way.

Highly recommend.

To Our Fellow-Seafarers

I would like to let you know that we worked all this summer season upon arriving in Canada after our Atlantic Crossing arriving in Halifax Nova Scotia from Europe. We cruised the Great Lakes – US and Canada – Montreal and Quebec ( on the St. Lawrence River ) and points in between. – This was made much easier with the assistance of Premier Marine Services of Halifax Canada.

Premier Marine Services helped us all the way through, solving many a difficult problem, finding fuel, technical assistance, marina berths, clearing in and out of Canada and the USA, you name it!. All was done swiftly and thoroughly, with a lot of good humor to wrap it up…. On top of this Premier Marine Services’ fees were very reasonable. We found a very good agent as well as a friend we shall not forget.

“August 2003 marked the first trip to Canada for “Rogue” a Trintella 47. We had to leave her in Halifax for a month in preparation to go south. “Rogue” was left in the care of Premier Marine Services under the watchful direction of Captain of Premier Marine Services. A list of required needs was left with Premier, and their work exceeded our expectations. Captain had an uncanny intuition of things that should be done before our departure.

Upon departing, I joked with Captain “ I think you know my boat better than I do.” I have no reservation in recommending “Premier Marine Services.”

I highly recommend his service to anyone cruising the Maritimes.

Premier Marine Services is the Best

Any and all Maritime personnel:

I would like to express my extreme gratitude and give high commendation to the most professional guide service that I have EVER had the privilege of dealing with the CEO of Premier Marine Services.

Most recently I employed Premier Marine Services while transiting from Detroit Michigan to Ft Lauderdale Florida via the St Lawrence Sea Way in a 112-foot luxury yacht.

Leaving late in the season for a normal calm voyage; it was to our unfortunate dismay to encounter some very rough weather during the journey South. Due to a schedule to arrive in Florida by a certain date, advancement was crucial.

Premier Marine Services’ CEO broad and extensive knowledge of the area and accommodations’ available for harborage, was THE key factor for us arriving on time and without incident. He worked relentlessly to fulfill any and all requests we presented to him and did so in an extremely efficient manner. No matter what time we called him; twice at 2 AM and 3 AM, his response was immediate and successful.

I seriously do not believe there is anyone else in the industry who could have gotten satisfactory results with no notice and during “Grave Yard” hours. CEO is capable of getting you accommodations that are not listed or published, and on one occasion he got us in at a place that was CLOSED due to a union strike. My hat is off to this incredible service!

For ANY transiting vessels, I HIGHLY recommend and endorse Premier Marine Services. With Premier Marine Services as your guide, I assure you that there is no better service available throughout Canada or the United States.
